Informa Connect streamlines MEES 2025 with a unified event platform
A Proven Partnership for End-to-End Event Technology
The 2025 edition of Middle East Event Show (MEES), organised by Informa Connect, marked the third consecutive year of collaboration with Visit by GES, the provider of their preferred single source event technology solution.
This year’s success showcased a new level of maturity in the partnership. Informa Connect independently managed the pre-event setup, including platform configuration, data onboarding, exhibitor communications, and app preparation, while Visit focused on the on-site delivery of seamless, integrated technology.
Full Stack of Event Tech, Fully Deployed
The Visit platform, now enhanced with participant engagement tooling, provided a unified customer experience for attendees, helping them better prepare in advance, optimise their time whilst on site and enable continued interaction beyond the show floor. Technology deployed at MEES 2025 included:
- Registration & Smart Badge Printing
- Access Control with Real-Time Monitoring
- Lead Capture via Visit Connect App for Exhibitors
- Touchpoints & NFC Smart Badges for Lead Capture and Content Sharing
- Visit Discover App for Participant Networking & Engagement
- Gamification & Real-Time Reporting
Measurable Engagement Across the Event Journey
The scale of adoption confirmed both the ease of use and the relevance of the Visit platform:
7,372
total attendees participated at the event
6,121
attendees (83%) making at least one connection
17,956
touchpoint activations, with 96% of visitors engaging at least once
21,894
lead capture scans, averaging 3.58 per visitor
Attendees moved effortlessly through entrances using smart badges (NFC-enabled badges) and interacted with content, exhibitors, and peers via an intuitive mobile app and touchpoints embedded into the event environment.
Gamification to Incentivise Interactions
To boost engagement, a gamified competition rewarded attendees for interacting across the event:
for each touchpoint interaction
for connecting with an exhibitor
for connecting with another visitor
The top three scorers were awarded Amazon gift vouchers worth 800 AED, 600 AED, and 400 AED respectively. The contest helped increase scan rates, participant engagement, and event app adoption.
Organiser-Led Tech Execution, Supported by Visit
What set MEES 2025 apart was the way Informa Connect owned the full pre-event tech setup, from data structuring and app content to exhibitor onboarding and visitor messaging. Their team confidently navigated every stage of platform management, while Visit remained available for support, training, and on-site implementation.
This approach demonstrated the power of a scalable, robust platform that empowers organisers to take control, eliminating complexity, saving time, and reducing dependency on multiple tech vendors.
A Practical Model for Event Tech Delivery
MEES 2025 shows what’s possible when a connected platform is used with clear ownership and planning. Organisers gain control and visibility, while visitors and exhibitors benefit from a consistent, easy-to-use system across the event.
For teams considering how to simplify event tech delivery, this example offers a practical model:
