The past three years have been a difficult time for the events industry and for the world as a whole. While we did, like most, go through a trying time, we took the opportunity to reflect and set our intentions as a company moving forward.
Rather than diving into the unfamiliar online events space, which we were not experts in, we chose to pause and contemplate on how Visit could truly add value to the events industry.
We had 3 goals in mind:
- How can we help our partners get through the challenge that was the pandemic?
- How can we bring true value to the industry through innovation?
- How can we grow as a company, how can we elevate our products, and probably the most important question: how can we grow as human beings and as professionals?
Delivering a Safe On-Site Experience
The return of live events in 2021 was not business as usual. In order to keep attendees and organisers safe, we had to find ways to maintain engagement while still allowing for physical distancing. In response, we:
- Worked closely with organisers to understand their needs
- Developed tools for a contactless and paperless experience
- Integrated hardware to monitor traffic throughout the show floor
- Developed a COVID-19 health check application
Adapting to the Hybrid World: Our Product Shift
As the events industry shifts towards a blend of physical and digital environments, we have been working to enhance our tools to help organisers automate their workflows and measure the value delivered. We have also undergone a shift in our company identity, positioning ourselves as a complete event management platform that puts the environment, accessibility, and inclusivity at the heart of everything we do.
